Our organic garden workshops near Forster, on the mid north coast of NSW at Pacific Palms are fun, social, hands on and are all about connecting community, permaculture, sharing knowledge & ideas, gardening tips & hints. You can read all the gardening books in the world but sometimes it doesn’t make sense until you go outside and get your hands dirty! And besides it’s much more fun to garden with other like minded people who share the same passion for growing chemical free produce. We are located on the mid north coast of NSW at Pacific Palms, just 3 hours north of Sydney.
Learn about: Weekly tips and hints on getting your vegie patch to grow with abundant produce. We’ll cover many topics and we can focus the topics around the groups interests and the season.
Topics include: growing seasonal produce, organic gardening solutions, planting & harvesting produce, vertical gardens, no dig garden, from the soil up, fruit trees, companion plants, sow what when, attract good bugs, protecting your crops & much more!
Workshop: 9.30am -11.30pm

- 11.00am – 11.30am – Organic Tea & coffee in our Rammed Earth Permaculture Education Centre

15th June – Design your vegetable patch & Winter Edible Gardening – planting, pest & diseases, nutrient cycling
July
13th July – Winter in your patch – collecting & drying herbs, raising seeds, taking cuttings, soils.
27th July – Plan & prepare you garden for Spring

Time: 9.30am – 11.30am
Wet weather plan: If it’s raining heavily we’ll do some classroom style learning but if it’s just light rain bring your raincoat & gumboots & reconnect with your inner child!
Bring: Gardening gloves, covered in shoes eg. boots or runners, indoor shoes, (yes ugg boots are ok!) a note pad & your favourite gardening tool – if you have one.
